authentic p.i.e is the creative vision of Melissa Beauford.  Melissa is passionate about making unique and provocative projects. Her last feature, Black & White & Sex premiered as an audience favourite at International Film Festival Rotterdam and opened to critical acclaim in Australia, as well as playing various festivals and winning Best Experimental Atom Award 2012.

She became a presence in the independent film scene producing her first 2 films back to back - Puppy (w/d Kieran Galvin) premiering at SXSW and Feed premiering at SITGES. Prior to her producing career she worked for international law firms specializing in acquisitions, intellectual property, media and entertainment law. Melissa was also Acquisitions and Licensing Executive at Arclight Films International. Now producing under the new banner authentic p.i.e she creates films and fosters talent that provoke, inform and entertain.
